The Teal Foundation Named Beneficiary of the 2025 Cinderella Classic

San Jose, CA – February 10, 2025 – The Teal Foundation is thrilled to announce that it has been selected as a beneficiary for the Valley Spokesmen Bicycle Club's (VSBC) 2025 Cinderella Classic — the original women-only bike ride. This exciting partnership marks an important milestone in our ongoing mission to raise awareness and funding for ovarian cancer research and support services.

“We are deeply grateful to the organizers of the Cinderella Classic for their support,” said Sarah Hawkins, Executive Director of The Teal Foundation. “This event aligns perfectly with our vision of raising awareness and funding vital research, as we continue to fight for the women whose lives are impacted by ovarian cancer.”

The Cinderella Classic has a proud history of supporting women-focused causes, and we are honored to be part of this legacy. Over the past 15 years, the event has raised over $180,000 for various charitable organizations. This year, we are proud to be a beneficiary alongside the Bay Area Women's Sports Initiative (BAWSI), an organization that empowers girls in under-resourced neighborhoods and children with disabilities through sports.

Funds raised through this partnership will directly support The Teal Foundation’s key initiatives, including funding ovarian cancer research, offering essential resources for women, and promoting awareness to ensure earlier detection and more effective treatment options.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 5, 2025, for the 49th Cinderella Classic, starting at the Dublin Senior Center (7600 Amador Valley Blvd). The ride will feature scenic routes designed for riders of all abilities. Participants can choose from three distances: 60 miles, 39 miles, or 21 miles. Each route will include full SAG support, refreshing rest stops, and a celebratory after-ride lunch to mark your achievement.

We invite the community to join us on this important journey. Together, we can raise the funds and awareness needed to make a lasting impact.
